Born of a passion for contemporary art and for preserving rural lands and of a belief that art drives commerce, Museum Plaza is the realization of a dream for its development team. Discovering that their vision can ignite passion in others, it has become one of Kentucky’s most collaborative private-public efforts.
Museum Plaza is a planned mixed-use development in downtown Louisville. As Kentucky's tallest building, its signature multiple towers will rise approximately 700 feet above Louisville's Historic District along the Ohio River. A city within a city, it will encompasses 1.5 million square feet of space and will blend culture and commerce in an innovative fashion. The iconic architecture will house luxurious condominium residences, prime office space, a luxury spa and fitness center, two hotels, dining, shopping, and parking. It will also be home to the University of Louisville Master of Fine Arts program as well as its graduate business school. And at the heart of Museum Plaza will be an unprecedented contemporary art center. A non-profit, non-collecting institution, it will be an open, evolving center for all kinds of interaction with all kinds of contemporary art.
